Dr. Vivian Morad taking care of one of her patients.Periodontal plastic surgery - There are many reasons why we do periodontal plastic surgery. We use it to eliminate a "gummy" smile, to provide the proper and even tooth length, to cover exposed roots by gum grafting, to eliminate frena "pull" on the gum, to eliminate "tongue - tie", to crown-lengthen decayed or broken teeth so your dentist can properly restore teeth instead of extracting them. And, of course, it can be done for the cosmetic improvement of your smile.

Regular periodic cleanings - Our staff of dental hygenists are always here to help you maintain your healthy smile.

Detailed oral hygiene review - We will review your dental history in detail to make sure you get the care you need.

After care follow through - We provide supportive periodontal maintainence following
your periodontal treatment.

Treating children: gum disease, implants, and good dental hygene
Our office sees and welcomes children of all ages.
Children have many types of gum problems. Unfortunately some begin to lose supporting bone in their early teen years, usually without visible symptoms. Some children have congenitally missing teeth and need us to place implants. Many times this is done in conjunction with an orthodontist to provide the proper spacing. This is usually done after 14 years of age, depending upon the child's growth patterns.

Also, sometimes teeth don't erupt properly. In these cases we are asked to expose the buried or "stuck" tooth so the orthodontist can place a bracket and move the unerupted tooth into place.

In addition, many children wearing braces develop overgrowing gum tissues, which may result in oral hygiene difficulties or problems with proper orthodontic movement. These problems are usually easily solved by proper periodontal treatment. Many parents have their children see our hygienists for cleaning because they appreciate the attention to detail that our hygenists provide.
